Today was the day that most moms have been waiting for!  Effingham County Schools are back in session!  Of course neither one of the kids wanted to wake up. Both of them slept in the bed with me since Danny had to work overnight I swear they didn't go to sleep until 10 even though they were in the bed by 9. Griffin set his Yoda alarm clock an hour too early so when I heard it going off I slapped it! It didn't turn off so I had to go into the bathroom and wipe the sleepy out of my eyes to figure out how to turn it off.  The good news is we didn't have any dressing issues, we all knew where our shoes were, ate breakfast without fighting, and Blakely wanted me to put some curls in her hair - bonus!  I had the kids out the door with 3 minutes to spare to catch the bus and for me, that is a daunting task in itself.  As soon as I shut the door I said "YES they made the bus!"  I sat on the couch and grabbed the cup of coffee I had brewed an hour earlier only to find it was stone cold.  Instead of brewing another cup I popped it in the microwave and then sat for about 5 minutes while my ears were ringing from the absolute QUIET that was in my house. My mind was racing.......planning my day.....but first, I HAD to exercise.  Its on my plan, I've made it a habit and I'm going to stick with it. Being self employed I am thankful I can make that happen.  Make time for myself because as a mom,  I deserve something to make me feel good and exercising is one of them.  I got out my yoga mat and rolled it out and put my water bottle down my cat, Miss Kitty decided she was going to plop her fluffy self on my mat. I had to  explain to her we couldn't share the yoga mat (because I talk to my animals like I do my kids)  I decided on PIYO yoga streaming from my Beach Body on Demand labeled "SWEAT" and OMG,  did I ever!   I am definitely going to feel that tomorrow for sure.  Of course after my workout my mind was still racing with all the things I wanted to accomplish for the day.  I was able to get a bunch done including laundry, dishes, customer follow up, appointments set, lunch meeting, this blog, more customer follow ups....... I think I've figured out that I need to plan for myself a little better the night before and not just the kids.  I'm looking forward to a successful school year for all my children.  Kaylei will be off to college in a few weeks. Griffin 7th and Blakely Kindergarten.  As for today, both kids had a great day and we had no transportation issues SHEW!  Stay tuned, I will be writing about moving our oldest off to college.  I'm sure I will need an entire box of kleenex for the ride home.  Any tips or suggestions for me is welcomed.  Until next time.........Alicia Howe #GARealtormom
